The Syracuse City Justice Court handles all Class B or Class C misdemeanors and infractions occurring with the corporate limits of Syracuse City.
COVID-19 Closure
Pursuant to an order by the Utah Supreme Court related to COVID-19, Syracuse Justice Court is not being held for in-person hearings. If you would like to move your case forward, please notify a court clerk and request a telephone hearing. If you wish to resolve your case remotely, you will be asked to submit a Plea by Affidavit. You may also be asked to refer to this document that explains your Rights. You may also be eligible for a Plea in Abeyance for minor traffic offenses without appearing for Court; a court clerk will be able to determine your eligibility.
Court Hearings
Court is held regularly on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Appointments are necessary. Please call 801-825-1477 to schedule an appointment.
Filings Accepted
The Court accepts small claims and expungement filings Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Small Claims
The Court also hears small claims matters which arise in Syracuse City. The jurisdictional limit for small claims is $10,000.
